Colorado Shakespeare Festival. Each summer under the stars, over 50,000 people attend this seven week event, making it the third largest of its kind in the U.S. Performances are held in the outdoor University of Colorado Mary Rippon Theater.

The National Center for Atmospheric Research is dedicated to the study of the atmosphere. This Mesa laboratory is located above the city of Boulder and was designed by I.M. Pei. Boulders eclectic mix of architecture is a perfect fit with art and education. The Boulder Library (top) hosts many art exhibits and special events. The World Headquarters of Celestial Seasonings offers factory tours with a visit to the mind-clearing mint room, tea sampling, and a stroll throught the Celestial Seasonings Herb Garden. The Rockies Brewing Company offers self-guided tours that show first-hand the process of making great beers in the oldest mirco-brewery in Colorado. Snuggled against the Flatirons, the Ranger's station at Chautauqua Park, offers trail maps for the very beginner to the expert hiker. The Kinetic Conveyance Race is a zany celebration of spring which includes a parade and water race. Dining Al Fresco is a year-round opportunity in Boulder, with over 300 restaurants to choose from and over 300 days of sunshine. However, playing in Children's Pop-Jet Fountain, 1300 block of Pearl Street, is only available during the spring-summer season.
